Because Whataburger knows how much Texans love nostalgic Southern staples, it prioritizes launching menu items that remind customers of their favorite comfort foods.

To pay homage to its home state, Whataburger launched the Banana Pudding Milkshake for a limited time in 2022. Because it is a Texas favorite, it became an instant hit among customers.

Due to its success, the fast-food chain returned the milkshake a year later. However, this menu item has not been seen since then, leaving fans wondering and waiting for the Banana Pudding Milkshake to make a comeback.

Whataburger returns the iconic Banana Pudding Milkshake nationwide

Two years after it was last seen on its menu, Whataburger has returned the popular Banana Pudding Milkshake to all participating locations nationwide. This menu item mixes Whataburger’s vanilla shake base with banana pudding flavor.

“The memorable taste of banana pudding is in every sip of our Banana Pudding Shake,” said Whataburger Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Rich Scheffler when the menu item first launched. “This sweet treat pays homage to a cherished comfort food classic while offering Whataburger’s fresh and invigorating twist,” he added.
