Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary sounds the alarm on a disturbing new trend

When it comes to identifying new financial trends and seeking out good advice, there are a few trusted figures in the space that people tend to believe in.

Naturally, superstar investor and billionaire Warren Buffett is one of them. The recently “retired” Berkshire Hathaway CEO is famed for his financial and investment advice, not to mention greatly admired for keeping his life pretty simple by making modest choices that focus on retaining his wealth.

Another is “Shark Tank” star and Cost Plus Drugs CEO Mark Cuban, who regularly shares his takes on both business and finance on his social media platforms and engages with his audience in the comments. Like Buffett, Cuban is also an established billionaire who clearly has good advice to share.

A third financial influencer that many people find of interest is entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary, who also starred on “Shark Tank” along with Cuban in the past and is known by his nickname “Mr Wonderful.”

O’Leary recently appeared on Fox Business and discussed a topic that’s only tangentially related to finance, but is a disturbing new trend in the dating space that people should be aware of.

‘Hi, I’m MAGA’

On June 2, O’Leary posted a clip of his Fox Business appearance across his social media platforms with a caption that reads, “Yep, I said it. ‘Hi, I’m MAGA’ is the new mating call in the dating jungle. Trad wives, alpha values, and patriotic dating apps are flipping the script in deep-blue cities.”

“Want to know what’s hotter than a swipe right? A MAGA man with money. Let’s talk about it.”

In the interview, O’Leary chats with hosts Katrina Campins and Stuart Varney about the new pickup line.

“Young conservatives are finding they are popular after all even in deep blue cities like New York,” Campins said, mentioning dating apps and groups where right wingers are learning “they no longer have to be silent about their political beliefs.”

“I love this stuff,” O’Leary interjects. “This is just fantastic. It’s the values from the ’50s. They came back. Everything old is new again. Think about that,” O’Leary said with an amused smile on his face.

“But is that for the man to say, or the woman to say?” asked Varney, referring to the ‘Hi, I’m MAGA’ pickup line.

“I think both,” Campins interjected. “I think some liberal women think it’s fascinating if they go for a MAGA man. They just want to have the experience.”

Turned-off followers

While O’Leary is known for being both conservative and loud about his own beliefs, that didn’t stop commenters in the thread from replying to the topic to let him know they didn’t like the vibe.

“That’s how you get yourself a shallow wife that loves your money not you. Pass,” wrote X user @AurichJLAurich.

More on retirement:

“Just when you thought this guy couldn’t get anymore CRINGE,” said X user @KenGiavara.

“Hate to break it to you, but it’s pretty easy for everyone to see now that MAGA + $ =World Disorder. I’m not sure how any woman, with her head screwed on straight, would want that, but there are some crazies out there. It’s true, a lot of women go for the bad boy on the block, especially, if he has deep pockets. Unfortunately, those relationships are not built on proper values, appreciation or respect for each other and do not, generally, end well,” LinkedIn user Bradley Cloe chimed in.
