First, it was the viral Hermes Birkin bag dupe, and now it’s an iconic Starbucks menu item.

Private-label brands are brands owned by a retailer and manufactured by third-party companies. They are an alternative to brand-name products and tend to be cheaper.
Walmart has many private-label brands with products that taste and look so similar to the brand-name ones that they could almost be called perfect copycats.

Walmart fans know its baked goods are elite, with a wide range of products that might even be better than the originals.

Walmart launches an affordable new product Starbucks has sold for years
Walmart introduced Bettergoods last year, marking its largest private-label food brand launch in over 20 years.
Unlike other private-label brands that provide alternative offerings, Walmart claims bettergoods is unique because all its products are new and trend-forward.
They are also affordable, since all items range from under $2 to under $15, with most under $5.
Although Walmart claims Bettergoods doesn’t aim to replicate existing products, people on social media began comparing Walmart’s (WMT) Bettergoods Birthday Cake Cake Pops to Starbucks’ (SBUX) Birthday Cake Pops.

Both products have a vanilla cake base and are covered in chocolate, but Walmart’s coating is white with rainbow sprinkles, while Starbucks’ is pink with white sprinkles.
Another undeniable difference is their price. The Bettergoods cake pops cost a little under $6 for a four-count, while Starbucks’ version can cost over $4 for a single pop.
Consumers compare the Walmart ‘dupe’ item to the Starbucks version
To settle the debate, Morgan Chomps, a content creator, posted a video comparing both products on her social media accounts.
According to her, the Walmart version is better because the texture is less doughy, the coating is crunchy, and the price is much lower.
Many netizens agreed with her conclusion, bombarding her TikTok comments section with “Walmart’s are way better” and “The ones at Walmart are so good.”
A user even stated she no longer buys cake pops from Starbucks, commenting, “I always buy these for my kids instead of getting them at Starbucks.”

Others didn’t agree with the creator on the taste aspect, but the price was a major contender.
A user commented, “I personally like the texture of Starbucks one better, I’ve tried so many different cake pops (bc they are way too expensive) and I’ve found nothing similar in texture.”
Another person commented, “I’ll stick with my Starbucks cake pops.”
