Why do shoppers love it?
I’ve owned the 34-inch, 21:9 ultrawide version of this monitor for two years (I paid $400 for it at the time), and it’s been a joy to use. The 165 Hz refresh rate is plenty, and in the event that you’re running a game at 200 or more frames per second, it still looks great and smooth even if you’re only seeing 165 of those frames. My only regret is not buying this 32-inch, 16:9 version; if you like playing a lot of older games — even those made before, say, 2020 — this standard widescreen aspect ratio is ideal for your needs.
With a modern graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce RTX series, you’ll have plenty of flexibility to toggle and tweak the monitor’s various features, like FreeSync, which can help certain games run a lot more smoothly, or apply a frame-rate cap on games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim, which can start to break a little when you run them at more than 60 frames per second.
