In the late 90’s, a women’s brand called Francesca’s was founded in Houston, Texas, and began popping up at malls around the country. Known for its feminine, trendy stores and affordable prices, Francesca’s quickly became a shopper-favorite for everything from oversized necklaces to pretty dresses in the latest popular styles. I was personally a repeat customer thanks to the chain’s impressive jewelry curation. I’ve been wearing some of those pieces for more than a decade, and they’re still in great condition.

However, brick-and-mortar retailers have been going through the wringer for some time as many shoppers turn to online shopping over a trip to the mall. Francecsa’s is the latest to announce it will be liquidating its stock and closing its doors. It’s sad news for those of us who loved the brand, but the silver lining is that the liquidation sale has slashed the prices of items as much as 83% off.
