The Patagonia Refugio measures 18 inches tall, 12 inches wide, and 6.5 inches deep; it’s made from 84% recycled nylon and 16% spandex. Shoppers call it an “amazing backpack,” and say it washes well in the washing machine if you remember to use a delicate setting and then air-dry.
At least one reviewer has kept theirs in perfect condition for years using this method. The fabric does soak up rainwater and other liquids if it gets wet, so that’s something to be mindful of if you’re expecting stormy weather, but a good umbrella can compensate for that.
