Stylish, podiatrist-approved sneakers
As someone who has dealt with foot pain for years, it’s been a struggle to find a stylish pair of sneakers. For what felt like forever, I was on the hunt for classic white shoes that I could dress up or dress down, and that weren’t a pair of athletic sneakers. I tried the highly rated Nike Air Force 1’s, but felt like they were a bit too narrow for my liking. So, I searched for options with more width and came across Vionic.
Vionic is known for its modern, stylish, and comfortable footwear that has podiatrists’ stamp of approval. I’ve heard of the brand before, but held off on buying it because of the high price tags. I ended up splurging on the $150 Vionic Kimmie Court Sneakers, and it’s one of my favorite footwear purchases so far. However, I’m about to buy another pair, as they’re currently on sale at Nordstrom for $75 with 50% off.

Why do I love it?
As I mentioned before, it’s been tough trying to find stylish sneakers that are comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time. And it feels even harder when you’re looking for shoes that are wide. The Kimmie Court Sneakers solved both of those problems, as they have a cool and modern design and are available in a variety of sizes and widths.
When I first bought them, I got them in both medium and wide widths to see which one would fit best. I was unsure about whether the wide would look too big and clunky (something I’ve noticed with a lot of other wide shoes), but it ended up being perfect. There was just enough wiggle room, and my toes didn’t feel cramped. And I was surprised by how good they looked. The wider silhouette reminded me of Vans I would wear back in the day, and they actually look similar to Nike Air Force 1’s with the rounded toe and perforated top. They have crisp white leather uppers with a single black accent that gives them a nice, stylish contrast.

Details to know
- Sizes: From women’s 5 to 13.
- Widths: Medium and wide.
- Colors: Three.
The sneakers are on the firm side, but they’re still comfortable. They have a removable cushioned insole designed to absorb impact and distribute weight, or you can replace them with your own custom orthotics. They have even received the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance, which means they’re podiatrist-approved. But as is the case with many shoes, they do require a little breaking in. It’s recommended to wear them for a limited time at first to allow your feet to get used to the orthotic design and support.
