Why we love this deal

There’s two types of storage — the stuff that goes in bins under the stairs or in the basement, out of sight because you rarely use it or use it on a seasonal basis, and then there’s the storage that’s more of an organizational measure. Everyday, we use household items that then, when they are left out, leave a bunch of clutter and mess behind. While bins and under-furniture mechanisms are helpful, they are often a pain to get into or access, and when you’re using something daily or weekly, you want your storage items to be well within reach without being an eyesore. That’s where storage furniture, like the Songmics Storage Ottoman, come into play.

These types of furniture function as a decorative item or piece of furniture and have the space to store things like blankets, books, and more. They’re often easy to access, no need to climb on top of chairs or underneath the couch to reach them, and with the Amazon October Prime Day deals marking down everything from furniture to fashion, the Songmics Storage Ottoman is the storage solution that’s on sale right now for 32% off. Save $16 on the $50 storage ottoman and get it in one of the 20 colors it comes in for only $34.

Why do shoppers love it?

Ottomans are already a multifunctional piece of furniture, and now with a hollow inside, this one fulfills another purpose. Not only do ottomans provide extra seating where chairs and sofas fall short, they give you a place to kick up your feet and relax, and they often can serve as the central focal point, sort of like a coffee table, for your family or living room. Now, with the ottoman you can get all that and more thanks to the 35-gallon storage capacity the interior offers.

This ottoman comes in a few sizes, but this particular one measures 43 inches long, 14 inches wide, and 15 inches high. It’s made with premium medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels, reinforced with metal corner guards, and upholstered in a double-layer linen fabric and high-resilience foam to give it durability, sturdiness, and a nice, classic look. This heavy-duty craftsmanship is also what allows it to hold up to 660 pounds total.

The long rectangular design, with a removable tufted top lid to give you easy access to whatever you store inside, is great for blankets, throw pillows, bed linens, seasonal clothes, decor, and a whole host of other items. It even includes a removable divider that you can use to keep items better organized. Although one might think to put it in a living or family room, it’s also very useful for the bedroom. Suitable to sit at the base of twin, full, and queen beds, it’s the perfect place to get more space for clothing or shoes that don’t fit in your closet or dresser.

And what’s even more convenient is that it folds in and stores easily under furniture if you’re not using it. You simply fold it down, no tools needed, and slide it underneath a bed, in a closet, behind a door, or stacked against the wall.
