Why we love this deal
It may seem too early to talk about holiday shopping, but there are some things you don’t want to hold off on buying. Advent calendars are the perfect example. They’re a great gift for people who are hard to shop for, as they provide multiple items that can be opened over the course of a month in just one gift. And usually, they sell out fast.
Amazon is loaded with advent calendars for anyone on your gifting list, from foodies to DIYers. If you’re shopping for the latter, there are advent calendars with tools you can get that you’re going to want to add to your cart before they’re gone. Craftsman’s limited-edition advent calendar with some of the brand’s beloved tools and accessories was on the top of the list, but to no surprise, the pre-orders sold out at Amazon before it officially launched. Luckily, Amazon has plenty of great deals on other tool advent calendars that any DIYer or hobbyist will love, with prices starting at $39. (And if you have your heart set on the Craftsman one, there’s still another chance to get it.)
Larchio Tool Advent Calendar, $39 at Amazon
Count down to the holidays with the Larchio advent calendar, with 24 tools and accessories that you’ll actually be able to use. From a hammer to screwdrivers, it’s like gifting a complete tool set for under $40, which is perfect for anyone who’s a new homeowner, beginner DIYer, or anyone who doesn’t have a tool collection yet. And the best part is, it comes with a storage bag to keep all of the tools together once they’re done.
Bosch 44-Piece Advent Calendar, $56 (was $63) at Amazon
Just like Craftsman, Bosch is another major tool brand that has its very own advent calendar. It comes with 24 hand tools, including pliers and a ratchet. This pick also comes with its own storage bag, giving you a practical tool kit by Christmas morning.
One shopper said the tools feel solid, and even though it’s an advent calendar, the tools don’t feel flimsy. “This is something that will stay in the cupboard and get used, not end up in the bin after Christmas is over,” they added.

Bailiyake Hand Tool Advent Calendar, $50 at Amazon
The Bailiyake has all the usual tools you’ll need to manage everything from putting together furniture to a quick household repair. Unlike the other advent calendars that come with a storage bag, the advent calendar box itself is reusable and intended to store the tools once they’re revealed each day. There’s a spot for each one, so you don’t have to worry about digging around a bag to find what you need. When it comes to the tools themselves, a reviewer said that they’ve held up well, even months after the holidays ended.
12 Days of Craftsman Advent Calendar, $50 at Ace Hardware
Now, let’s talk about the Craftsman’s advent calendar. Even though it’s not available at Amazon anymore, it inspired this entire roundup, so it’s worth noting that there’s still a chance to get it at Ace Hardware while inventory lasts. Since Amazon sold out so quickly, I’m expecting the same to happen at Ace.
I’ve had the chance to check out the limited-edition advent calendar myself, and I can say that it’s a fun way to build a growing tool collection. The calendar runs for 12 days, but it has a $200 value that any DIYer can get behind. This is your warning that there are spoilers ahead, detailing what you’ll find inside this advent calendar.
In the set, you’ll get a ratchet, a range of socket sizes, a bottle opener, and more. My favorite might be the mini measuring tape keychain, as it’s a little tool I can clip onto my bag or keys.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get your holiday shopping started, this is it. Advent calendars make great gifts, and these advent calendars with tools will surely win over the hearts of any DIYer or hobbyist this holiday season.
