Why we love this deal

When you can’t kick a chill, it feels like it’s impossible to get warm. You can always crank the heat up, although your electric bill pays a price, and layers only do you so much. Thankfully, with heated blankets, you get targeted warmth that can be customized to deliver exactly what you need. It’s a far safer option than a space heater, a more cost efficient option than increasing your heat, and a much warmer option than throwing on a sweatshirt or pair of sweats — and right now, the Sunny Heat Electric Blanket is on sale at Walmart during a Flash deal.

Originally $75, this full-sized electric blanket is now 47% off, which can save you $35 on your purchase overall. Get the double-sided flannel blanket with four heating levels for just $40 during this limited-time deal.

Why do shoppers love it?

We can’t always control the temperature around us, but products like an electric blanket allow you to create a more targeted warmth for yourself wherever you are. Apartments, homes, dorm rooms, and even offices can be cold, and with blankets like this one, you can make sure you’re comfortable and toasty to your content.

This blanket, which is available as a throw or in twin, full, queen, and king sizes, features four heating levels so that you adjust how much warmth you’re receiving when the blanket is turned on. It works by using a repeated coil on the interior that covers the entire length of the blanket to provide warmth all over, not just in one targeted area. Once turned on with the detachable control panel, you can set the heat to warm, low, medium, or high with the one-button control. The panel has LED indicator lights to show your selected heat level and a large power button for quick operation that will automatically turn off after 10 hours unless prompted sooner. This is great for situations like at night where you might want that extended use without the risk that you’ll forget to turn it off in the morning.

The blanket is made with a double-sided flannel fabric that’s silky soft with a slightly brushed texture that makes it even warmer and more enjoyable to wrap around or over your body. The plush “cloud-like” softness is gentle on skin and has a luxurious feel that’s insulating without overheating. It’s breathable, lightweight, and most importantly, machine washable. The blanket can easily be thrown in the washing machine as long as the control panel is detached from the blanket before you put it in. Make sure that, instead of tumbling dry, you let it hang or air dry.

What’s most fun about this blanket is the 40 colors and prints it comes in. With pink leopard, orange plaid, and a few seasonal prints to pick from in addition to muted neutrals, the blanket is customizable for anyone and the perfect gift for the person you know who is always cold.
