Adam Sandler’s net worth is in the hundreds of millions of dollars. CEO Today, a website that tracks executives, puts his net worth at $500 million. Other media outlets estimate his 2025 net worth at between $430 million and $440 million.

How does Adam Sandler make his money?

Sandler primarily makes his money from acting, but his sources of income have diversified over the course of his career. In 199, he founded his own production company that he named Happy Madison Productions (an amalgam of the titles of two of his movies: Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison).

In 2024, Forbes ranked him ninth among the highest-paid actors, with gross earnings of $35 million. (Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, was at the top, with $103 million in gross earnings in 2024.)

In 2014, Sandler signed a lucrative contract, reportedly worth $250 million, with streaming service Netflix (NFLX) . Who is Adam Sandler?

Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 9, 1966. He spent his formative years there before moving to New Hampshire temporarily for his father’s work. He then returned to New York to attend New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1988. 

While at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, he worked in television and landed a spot on the quirky MTV game show Remote Control. At NYU, he met Tim Herlihy, who would write material for Sandler’s stand-up comedy. Later on, Herlihy would help Sandler write some of his early movies, such as Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, and The Waterboy, as well as some of his more recent work, such as Grown Ups (2010) and Hubie Halloween (2020).

After graduating in 1988, Sandler continued with his stand-up comedy and became a feature player on Saturday Night Live. Popular characters he played included Canteen Boy, Opera Man, and Cajun Man. After five years on SNL, Sandler was fired along with popular cast member Chris Farley in 1995 to make way for new actors. Sandler then focused on making it to the big screen and would not make another SNL appearance until 2019, when he hosted a show.

True Adam Sandler fans can quote lines from some of his popular films in the 1990s, including Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, and The Waterboy. He’s also taken the lead voice character Count “Drac” Dracula in the animated Hotel Transylvania franchise.
