Why I love this deal
For the past six months, my weekly laundry days have gotten better and better, thanks to a purchase that changed everything. Everyone has chores and household duties that seem to be their personal purview within a family. As an example, my wife typically makes dinner because she enjoys it, and my son is usually responsible for walking the dogs because he finds it fun. I spend most Saturdays doing all of our laundry, because nobody else wants to do it, and my favorite hoodie is usually becoming slightly “aromatic” by then. That said, doing laundry has become a far more enjoyable experience in the past six months, thanks to the new rolling hamper we bought from Amazon. As luck would have it, you can currently get it for even less than I paid, thanks to a limited-time deal.
The Herture Rolling Laundry Hamper with Shelf is on sale for $70, which is 13% off the regular price of $80. I’m not sure I’ve bought anything in the past year that I’ve used quite as often as this (except for maybe the aforementioned slightly ripe hoodie). It’s rare to find a product that you never tire of using, but this seems to have become that item for me.

Why it’s a laundry room essential
I live in a high-rise apartment building with a large laundry room on the first floor. That means at least once a week, I have to drag dirty laundry for three people downstairs, wash and dry it, then bring it back upstairs when it’s done. Add to that, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and sometimes a snack in case I get the num nums while waiting for a dryer.
For years, I dragged a bulky wicker hamper down the hall and into the elevator, while detergent, fabric softener sheets, and the occasional potato chip or gummy bear would fall off the narrow hamper lid. Eventually, I decided to look for a solution to this weekly comedy of errors, and I found it in the form of a rolling hamper by Herture.
The hamper has three hanging fabric bins, a countertop shelf, and four 360-degree swivel casters. It has been, in a word, magnificent. For starters, the shelf allows me to place my cleaning solution and other laundry supplies on top of the hamper for storage and transport. It’s also a convenient place to keep any clothing that needs to be washed separately or for folding clothes post-wash. There is a small railing around three of the four sides that ensures items stay in place, even when rolling the hamper down the hall or into another room.
Speaking of rolling, the casters are one of the most useful things about the unit. It turns it from a simple laundry basket into a cart, which is extremely helpful for those of us who have to transport our laundry more than a few feet every week. They roll smoothly on hard surfaces and even have a convenient foot brake. That’s a nice touch so that it doesn’t roll around when I’m loading and unloading the bins.

There are three bins total in my hamper, though you can buy variants with up to five of them. They’re incredibly efficient for sorting and separating clothes. In my home, we each have our own bin, and it helps tremendously with keeping everyone’s clothes separate from one another. I’ve found that even after many months of use, the fabric bins don’t smell musty or dirty. They also slide in and out easily, which makes washing and drying a much quicker and easier process.
Each bin has a capacity of 60 liters, which is more than enough for each member of my family. The overall dimensions of the hamper are 33.07 inches long by 15.74 inches wide by 33.66 inches high. It’s the perfect size for both carrying a week’s worth of laundry and for storing in the home. We keep the hamper against a wall in our living room, and it actually looks more like a bookshelf or end table than a hamper. It’s small, non-descript, and attractive.
There are only a couple of improvements I might suggest to the manufacturer for future iterations. The bins are designed to slide all the way out of the cart in case you wish to carry them individually. This feature is meant for people who may only need to wash a single bin’s worth at a time. While this is a nice design, it would be good if there were a way to lock them in place as well. Sometimes, when opening the bins for loading or unloading, they can accidentally slide all the way out, which can be frustrating. While not a major problem, a stopper of some sort would definitely be an upgrade.
The only other negative that I’ve encountered is difficulty rolling the hamper on thick carpeting. The 20 feet from our front door to the elevator is through a hallway with thick padding and carpeting. This can be a little hard for the relatively small wheels to manage, and it slows the cart down quite a bit. That said, it’s not something that’s a dealbreaker and doesn’t often impact my overall experience. Larger wheels might be my suggestion as an improvement on this front.
As mentioned earlier, this rolling laundry cart comes in a few variants. You can choose from three, four, or five bins, depending on your needs. There are also four bin colors from which to choose, and you can even mix and match them in some cases. The construction of the hamper is impressive, with the frame consisting of stainless steel and engineered wood, and the bins being made from a thick canvas. The bins can be removed using their velcro straps, and they’re fully machine-washable as well.

The pros and cons of my $70 rolling hamper
Pros
- Superior portability: The 360-degree spinner wheels give me the freedom to take the laundry where I please.
- Convenient sortability: The tri-bin design allows me to separate each person’s personal items.
- Construction: The steel frame and engineered wood shelf give the cart a sturdy feel with no unwanted leaning or shifting.
- Shelf design: Railing around the edge keeps all of my cleaning supplies in place, even during transport.
Cons
- Lack of bin locking mechanism: The bins can fall all the way out if pulled too hard.
- Undersized casters: Due to small wheels, the cart can be difficult to push on thick carpeting or rugs.

I’m not the only buyer who is singing the praises of this hamper. Another Amazon shopper called it “beautiful and functional,” adding, “It is easy to empty loads of laundry from the bag to the washer. This is so much better than a bunch of messy plastic baskets. The canvas bags are thick and hold a lot of laundry.”
