Coca-Cola and Walt Disney have a gift for Star Wars fans

Walt Disney’s theme parks have been Coca-Cola country for decades.

Aside from selling Coke products all over its parks and hotels, the theme park giant has a very unsubtle relationship with the soft drink brand. It has a three-story Coca-Cola store in Disney Springs at Disney World and “Club Cool,” an Epcot hotspot that’s basically a Coca-Cola tasting room.

Perhaps most famously, however, Walt Disney  (DIS)  has been willing to ignore its immersive theming areas like “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” and still serve Coca-Cola products. That’s very different from rival Universal Studios where its various Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands only sell beverages that come from the books.

They are sold in special bottles in those areas, but at no point did Chewbacca ever reach for a Sprite and Luke Skywalker was a blue milk guy, not a Coke fan.

The Disney partnership with Coke runs very deep and now the two companies have decided to work together on something new.

It’s a partnership that will involve both Disney World and Disneyland as well as stores all over the world.
