Early Black Friday flight ticket deals are here: Score some good ones

While Black Friday is more commonly associated with discounts on electronics and kitchen gadgets one wants to buy as holiday gifts, the travel junkies among us know the true deals are ones that can help bring down the cost of that long-awaited trip.

With the shopping day presenting the perfect marketing opportunity, airlines also like to participate in the event that has increasingly morphed into a weekslong period of heightened shopping activity.

For those looking to escape from daily life to a paradise very far away, Fiji Airways is currently offering fares to Nadi International Airport (NDI) for $349 in one direction and $698 round-trip from North American cities such as LA, San Francisco, Dallas Fort-Worth, Honolulu, and Vancouver.

Tickets must be secured before Dec. 3 for travel dates between January and November 2026 outside of peak periods.

Those looking to get to Australia or New Zealand can also score the same deal on flights to cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland, with a stopover through Nadi, for $399 in one direction and $798 round-trip.

Airlines such as Air France, TAP Air Portugal, and British Airways are some of the other international carriers that set up Black Friday deals pages, although specific rates will start appearing closer to the actual date on Nov. 27.

For those traveling from New York, SAS Scandinavian Airlines has listed one-way rates starting at $123 to Copenhagen and $154 to Oslo, depending on the specific month of travel, on top of lower prices for flights between smaller Scandinavian cities and other destinations across Europe.

“For those looking for longer trips, we also have Black Friday discounts to North America,” SAS writes in promoting its sale. “A trip like this requires planning, and Black Friday is the perfect time to book in advance to get the best prices.”

And for those who are looking to explore an entirely different part of the world, Qatar Airways also launched an early Black Friday sale on routes to the Qatari capital of Doha. Those who book between Nov. 20 and 28 will get 25% off select flights for travel by October 2026.
