Fast-food chains are very addictive, some more than others, which is why they have become an essential part of many Americans’ daily lives.

Maybe it’s the incredibly low prices or the irresistible fries. Regardless, once the craving hits, it’s hard to prevent ourselves from grabbing that crave-worthy value meal.

However, nothing is worse than driving all the way to your favorite fast-food location, only to face disappointment when it’s closed because of a holiday. Yet restaurants may reduce their regular store hours or even close for the day.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the U.S. on June 19, 1865. The anniversary became a federal holiday in 2021 and offers an important opportunity to honor African American heritage.

The holiday falls on a Thursday this year, so although it won’t create a three-day weekend, many will still have a chance to mark this historic day.

With so many activities happening on Juneteenth, cooking a meal is the last thing on people’s minds.

Fortunately for McDonald’s fans, the fast-food giant takes no breaks. It’s open on federal holidays and will be operating on Juneteenth.

After all, McDonald’s (MCD) prides itself on being one of the largest fast-food chains worldwide and hasn’t managed to expand its footprint to over 43,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries for no reason.
