Las Vegas Strip casinos have closed several popular legendary country singer residencies in the first half of 2025.
The good news is that another major country superstar, Kenny Chesney, will open the first country residency at Sphere Las Vegas for 15 shows, beginning May 22 and ending June 21, unless the engagement is extended.

Last year, major country residencies closed on the strip, as Luke Bryan ended an engagement at Resorts World on Jan. 6, 2024, and Miranda Lambert closed her “Velvet Rodeo” residency at Planet Hollywood on April 6, 2024.

Keith Urban also recently finished a residency at Fontainebleau’s BleauLive Theater that began with five nights in October 2024 and finished with another five shows in February 2025.
Legendary country singer Garth Brooks wrapped up his sold-out 54-show Plus One residency at Caesars Entertainment’s Colosseum at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip on March 8, 2025, and country superstar Carrie Underwood concluded her long-running “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” engagement at the Resorts World Theater at Resorts World Las Vegas after 71 shows, finishing on April 12.
Country star Blake Shelton closed his first-ever residency on the Strip when he wrapped up his six-show engagement at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Feb. 15, 2025.
Blake Shelton’s Ole Red presents live music
When Shelton steps away for concert tours or television appearances, he still has a presence in Vegas since opening his Ole Red honky tonk on the Strip in January 2024, which offers food, drinks, and live music all day long.
For example, on May 10, the music begins with country artists Cory Brown from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Chad Collins from 3 p.m.-7 p.m.; Beyond The Arrow, 7 p.m.-11 p.m.; and Frank Garrett and Left of Center, 11 p.m.-3 p.m.
On the Ole Red Las Vegas Rooftop: Ghost Stage, Downtown Avenue performs 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and DJ Bray hits the stage from 8 p.m.-midnight.

Brad Paisley closes Encore residency
Finally, superstar country singer Brad Paisley closes his “One Man Six Strings” residency at the Wynn Las Vegas Encore Theater on May 10 just before launching his new “Truck Still Works World Tour.”

Paisley will take a short break following his last Encore show before embarking on his “Truck Still Works” tour on May 21 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The first leg of the tour will run for 16 shows, concluding on Aug. 8 in Arcadia, Wis., according to a statement on his website.

Paisley opened his “One Man Six Strings” acoustic residency with five shows Oct. 18-19 and Dec. 6-8, 2024, at the Encore.
Paisley also performed at the Encore Theater for acoustic shows April 14-15, 2023, as well as two shows each at the Encore in November 2022, March 2022, and June 2021.
Paisley has written 21 of his 25 No. 1 hits and in 2008 was the first country artist to have 10 consecutive Billboard Country Airplay No. 1 singles.
The award-winning solo country artist has won three Grammys, two American Music Awards, 15 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 14 Country Music Association Awards, including entertainer of the year. He also co-hosted the Country Music Association Awards alongside superstar country singer Carrie Underwood 11 times from 2008-2018.
