The Las Vegas Strip is famous for its variety of headliner residencies, featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Some of the popular residencies currently on the Strip include Bruno Mars, who has shows booked for May, June, August, and September at Dolby Live at Park MGM Las Vegas; country singer Kenny Chesney at Sphere Las Vegas in May and June; and Santana at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in May, September, and November.

The Strip’s casinos compete to sign the most popular performers, and Resorts World Las Vegas has presented some of the biggest headliner residencies.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood opened the new Resorts World Theater at Resorts World Las Vegas on Dec. 1, 2021, for her long-running “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” and performed 71 shows before wrapping up on April 12, 2025.
Underwood’s residency included 100-minute shows featuring 20 of the singer’s hits, including nine No. 1 songs. Many of the shows in the venue were sold out.
“I have absolutely loved performing in Las Vegas over the past three years,” Underwood said in a statement when she extended the residency for the final time. “I am so proud of the Reflection production, which is truly one of my favorite shows to perform. It’s been so special to reflect on the greatest hits that have defined my career so far and to get to share them with the fans that come to Vegas from all over the world.”
Celine Dion cancelled her Resorts World residency
Celine Dion was originally scheduled to open Resorts World Theater on Nov. 5-20, 2021, and continue for shows on Jan. 19-Feb. 5, 2022, but cancelled all of her shows as she was suffering from stiff-person syndrome.
Next, superstar pop singer Katy Perry opened her Play residency in the Resorts World Theater on Dec. 29, 2021, and closed the popular engagement on Nov. 4, 2023.
Another country star Luke Bryan opened his Resorts World Las Vegas residency on Feb. 11, 2022, and ended the engagement on Jan. 6, 2024.

Janet Jackson extends popular residency
And now, superstar headliner Janet Jackson has added six more shows to her popular Resorts World Las Vegas residency at the 5,000-seat Resorts World Theater, scheduled for Sept. 10, 13, 14, 17, 19, and 20.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on May 30 at 10 a.m. Pacific at AXS.com.
A limited number of tickets remain for the five previously scheduled residency shows on May 24, 25, 28, 30, and 31, at AXS.com. Jackson resumed her latest run of shows on the residency on May 21.
Jackson has sold out many shows on her Janet Jackson: Las Vegas residency at Resorts World, which began Dec. 30-31, 2024; Jan. 3, and 4, and continued Feb. 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15.
The pop singer’s previous Vegas Strip residency was her “Metamorphosis” show at MGM Resorts International’s Park MGM from May 17-Aug. 17, 2019.
Jackson, who has won 11 American Music Awards, five Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will be presented the Icon Award at the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26.
