Everything Happening (That We Know Of)
Good morning. This morning, U.S. stock futures are on the rise, building on a fantastic close to last week, which came as quality earnings and a softer-than-expected inflation report gave investors something to cheer. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite notched new intraday records, eclipsing 6.8K and 23.2K, respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also leaped above 47.2K.
And this weekend, investors scored another reason to get excited, as the U.S. and China appeared closer to a trade deal, settling on a framework to cover everything from fentanyl, rare earth metals, and sky-high tariffs. President Trump and China’s President Xi are expected to meet at the sidelines at this week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), stirring hopes for a quick resolution to the conflict.

Instead, today’s singular major report will be the Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index. Rounding out the day will be a handful of auctions for the 3 month and 6 month bill, plus the 2Y and 5Y note.
