Las Vegas Strip casinos have a long history of hosting long-running music residencies.
Iconic Las Vegas headliner Celine Dion has had some of the most successful residencies in Vegas. The Queen of the Power Ballad’s first residency, “A New Day,” began at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2003 and ended in 2007, followed by her Celine residency from 2011 to 2019, earning about $681 million in combined ticket sales.

Dion was set to kick off a residency at Resorts World Theater with a benefit for Covid relief on Nov. 5, 2021, but was forced to cancel that show and the remainder of her residency shows in 2021 and 2022, as well as the rest of her “Courage” world tour, because of severe symptoms of Stiff-Person Syndrome.

The superstar singer has not yet announced when she will return to the stage in Las Vegas.
1970s pop star Donny Osmond, who performed 1,730 shows from 2008 to 2019 with his sister Marie Osmond, in August 2021 opened his solo residency at Harrah’s Showroom, which is currently booked through Nov. 15, 2025.
Long-running Las Vegas residencies continue
Legendary rock star Carlos Santana has headlined a long-running residency on the Las Vegas Strip since 2012, performing over 300 shows to sold-out audiences.
Santana revealed that the band will return for its “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live” residency in the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino for 15 new shows in September and November 2025.
Santana had to cancel the first eight shows of its 2025 residency at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay from Jan. 22 to Feb. 2, due to frontman Santana breaking a finger in an accidental fall at his vacation home in Hawaii.
Legendary 1970s superstar singer Barry Manilow on Sept. 23, 2023, broke Elvis Presley’s record of sold-out shows in the International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas just off the Strip, when he played his 637th sold-out show. The hotel had previously been the Las Vegas Hilton and International Hotel when Elvis performed.
Manilow has shattered the record that Elvis set since that day, having performed sold-out shows, though the King of Rock and Roll set his original record in just seven years between 1969 and 1976. The “Copacabana” singer has been performing in the International Theater for over 20 years since February 2005. He also performed shows at Paris Las Vegas on the Strip.

The “I Write the Songs” singer embarked on his “Last Shows” tour for the summer of 2025 from May 23-July 20, but that might not have been his last tour.
Manilow also performed his “One Last Time” tour from Feb. 11 through June 17, 2015, but that obviously was not his last tour, as he continued touring afterward.

Manilow’s “One Last Time” tour should not be confused with Rod Stewart’s “One Last Time” farewell tour that began in March 7, 2025, and ends Aug. 15 in St. Louis.
Stewart continues performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas with “The Encore Shows” residency for six shows Sept. 24, 26, 27, Oct. 1, 3, and 4.
And now, Manilow has extended his lifetime residency at the International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas with the addition of 54 new dates over 18 weekends in 2026.
