Hammock chairs are unique in that they press close to your body as your weight bears down, producing an effect that feels like a comforting hug. I have many comfy chairs in my own home, but none of them have quite the same effect.
This stylish chair is made of cotton rope fabric with handwoven fringe and measures 59.06 inches deep and 47.24 inches wide, and the heavy-duty metal bar the hammock hangs on measures 39.37 inches wide. As for hanging this chair, you have a few options. It comes with mounting hardware if you want to hang it from the ceiling, including a thick chain and the screws necessary to bear up to 330 pounds. However, you also have the option of hanging it from a hammock stand, which Target sells separately. We like the Merrick Lane C-Stand, which is currently on sale for $70.
The chair is available in three colors, and all of them are on sale. The black and beige options are perfect neutral picks if you want to jazz it up with some colorful boho pillows. But if you prefer a powerful pop of color, the green shade does the job. As a nice extra touch, there’s a pocket on the inside of the hammock, so you have a convenient spot to tuck your book, tablet, or phone.
