Projectors are becoming increasingly popular as of late because of the versatility they offer to viewers. While it’s true that some version of this design has been around for many decades, the technology has changed, and so have the uses. Maybe the most impressive change is the software that many times comes pre-loaded with each projector, integrating fully with its operations. Many projectors have just about as many apps pre-loaded as a smartwatch. This is something that consumers wouldn’t have even been able to fathom 20 years ago. Depending on the exact type of projector you’re shopping for, you may be able to find it at a big discount, especially from retailers like Walmart.

Recently, uncertain economic conditions have rattled markets and led to rising costs in nearly every sector, including electronics. Unlike groceries or gas, electronics aren’t exactly a life-or-death necessity. That’s why retailers are finding new ways to offer a great value proposition on their electronics offerings. Projectors are no exception to this rule. Some have started to include all the extra bells and whistles despite the fact that retail outlets continue to drop their prices in an effort to entice inflation-weary consumers. One of the most enticing add-ons that have been added to projectors specifically is Google TV integration, and that’s great news for techies.

Walmart is currently selling the Happrun 4K Google TV Projector for $200. That’s 50% off the regular price of $400. This is a limited-time Flash deal, so if you’re looking for a projector that can do everything, including save you money, then this is the deal for you.

What is Google TV?

With the proliferation of streaming services over recent years, it can feel overwhelming to remember what shows and movies you’re watching and on which services. That’s where Google TV comes in. It’s a way of weaving all of your streaming services, shows, and movies into a single interactive interface. No matter what device you’re accessing Google TV on, all you have to do is connect to Wi-Fi, and you’ll have instant access to roughly 10,000 apps and streaming services. One of the biggest advantages of Google TV is that it’s intuitive, meaning that it begins to make suggestions to you based on prior usage. Having the power of Google TV built into any device is a huge plus. When it’s integrated into a portable projector, the machine becomes a one-stop shop for entertainment. In fact, we found one available on sale at Walmart that appears to be just that.

The Happrun 4K Google TV Projector is the perfect example of how adding extra value to a product can make it so much more desirable for shoppers. As the name suggests, the projector has 4K resolution, making it great for dramatic shows and action movies alike. It also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, so there’s really no device you can’t hook it up to. While the Google TV functions are extremely helpful, there’s one more feature included that makes it virtually indispensable.

This projector includes Google Voice Assistant. That means you can ask it just about anything at any time and you’ll get the information you’re seeking. It makes for an incredibly convenient companion when the inevitable “what’s that actor from?” ensues the moment a familiar face pops onto the screen. This is a feature that most wouldn’t expect to get from such a utilitarian device as a projector, but that’s exactly why this one is so unique.

It has an automatic focus, impressive brightness of 400 lumens, and a sound system that may shock you. The projector delivers Dolby sound quality, so you don’t have to worry about distortion and crackling, so long as you hook the projector up to the best possible speakers. If you don’t have external speakers and don’t need what you’re watching to be exceptionally loud, then no worries. It also includes a built-in microphone that’s perfectly acceptable for watching standard fare.

More portable projectors

If the Happrun 4K Google TV Projector for $200 isn’t what you’re looking for, there are a lot of other options for cinephiles like you. While Walmart has many of the best deals, we wouldn’t ignore the offerings currently available from Amazon either. Both retailers have a good stable of projectors for sale, and you’re sure to find what suits you best between the two.
