Amazon wants a place in the dinner rotation, even on nights you don’t cook.
U.S. Prime members can now order from participating Uber Eats restaurants, including Chipotle and Wingstop, through Amazon’s website or shopping app. Qualifying orders of $25 or more come with no delivery fee. Through Nov. 18, eligible members can also get $20 off each of their first two qualifying orders.
The Nov. 5 launch ended Amazon’s four-year partnership with Grubhub. Prime members who already activated Grubhub+ can keep using it through Dec. 31, 2027, a Grubhub spokesperson told TechCrunch. They’ll need to order directly from Grubhub now that ordering through Amazon is over.
Amazon already delivers plenty of what goes into dinner. Prime members received more than 13 billion items the same or next day worldwide in 2025, including more than 8 billion in the U.S., according to company figures released in February. About half of those U.S. deliveries, roughly 4 billion items, were groceries and everyday essentials.
Walmart is giving shoppers a way to cover more errands with one membership. On Oct. 20, it began selling Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus together for $120 a year. The bundle covers the warehouse run and the grocery delivery, and gives members something to stream when they’re home.

How to use the Amazon Prime Uber Eats perk
Go to Amazon.com/ubereats or search for “Uber Eats” in the Amazon Shopping app. Sign in with your Prime account, browse participating restaurants that deliver to your address and pay with the Amazon payment method you already use. You don’t need a separate Uber Eats account. To get the Prime delivery perk, place your order through Amazon.
Check the delivery-fee line before you order. The $25 minimum is based on the subtotal before taxes and fees. According to Uber Eats’ partnership FAQ, service fees, taxes, and tips can still add to the bill. If your usual order falls just short of $25, compare the cost of adding a side with the delivery fee you’d save.

The perk is available to members on Amazon’s discounted Prime Access and Prime for Young Adults plans. Prime members can share the benefit with one other adult in their household through Amazon Family. Amazon says Prime Visa cardholders can earn 5% back on eligible Uber Eats orders until Dec. 5.
Amazon estimates members could save more than $175 a year through waived delivery fees and promotions. The estimate assumes a typical year’s worth of Uber Eats orders and compares ordering through Amazon with ordering directly from Uber Eats without Uber One. If you already pay for Uber One or order takeout only occasionally, your own checkout total is a better guide.

What happens to Grubhub+ after the Amazon switch
Amazon first offered Prime members a free year of Grubhub+ in 2022 and made it an ongoing perk in 2024. An Amazon spokesperson told Nation’s Restaurant News that Uber Eats would give members “an even better restaurant delivery experience,” citing a wider restaurant selection. What you see in the app still depends on which restaurants deliver to your address.
In an email reported by Allrecipes, Grubhub told members it had extended their Grubhub+ access at no charge. If you activated the perk through Prime, check your email or Grubhub account for the extension.
That overlap gives eligible members time to try the new perk while keeping access to restaurants they already order from on Grubhub. If the same restaurant is on both services, compare what you’d pay for your usual order, including fees. The comparison may look different after the $20 launch discount expires.
“From Amazon’s perspective, the deal with Uber Eats gives consumers another reason to come to the Amazon marketplace,” Neil Saunders, managing director of GlobalData Retail, told TheStreet. He said restaurant delivery gives Prime members another useful benefit while helping Amazon become the first place shoppers turn for more of their everyday needs.
What $120 gets you with Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus
For $120 a year, shoppers get two full memberships. Walmart+ includes benefits like grocery delivery and streaming, while Sam’s Club Plus gives shoppers access to the warehouse club and its higher-tier perks.
If you already have one or both memberships, what you pay depends on your current plan.
- Annual Walmart+ members can add Sam’s Club Plus for $22 more a year.
- Sam’s Club basic members can upgrade to Plus for $60 more a year and get Walmart+ included.
- Sam’s Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ at no additional cost.
- Members who pay for both can link their accounts. Walmart says most qualify for a prorated refund on their Walmart+ membership.
You can join, upgrade or link your accounts through either retailer’s app or on Walmart’s bundle page.
The bundle includes delivery from both retailers on qualifying orders, with a $35 minimum for scheduled Walmart delivery and a $50 minimum for Sam’s Club delivery. Members also get a choice of ad-supported Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential, fuel discounts at participating stations and 2% in Sam’s Cash on eligible purchases, up to $750 a year.
Walmart+ has a takeout perk, too. It teamed up with Burger King in 2024 and still offers 25% off eligible digital orders at participating locations. Members have to link a Burger King Royal Perks account and order through Burger King’s app or website.
The Walmart bundle costs $19 less a year than standard Prime. If it replaces a streaming subscription you already pay for, the savings could be bigger. If takeout delivery is the perk you’d use most, check which restaurants are available through Amazon and what your usual order would cost.
